Truly great game last night.  It’s been a while since i’ve seen the Penguins that full of life.  It has nothing to do with how they’ve been playing, as our boys have been giving their all every game, it just has more to do with how healthy the Pens have been.  It’s pretty much a regular occurrence these days to see another injury report after the game and hear ’so and so is out of the lineup for 2 weeks’.  I’m getting the feeling that half of the players are having a party and slipping off to it one by one.  ~.~

Back to the game.  Everyone played their hearts out in this game and it showed.  From Cookie Monster’s 2 goals, to Guerin mixing it up with Getzlaf, it appeared everyone was showing off for the home crowd.  This is without 4 of our star defensemen in the lineup as well!  (On an interesting side note…since we’re pulling all our D men from WBS…what in the world are the baby Pens doing for D?)  Add in the fact that Mad Max is slated to come back on Thursday and you have one EXTREMELY happy Pens fan!  :) So where do the Pens go from here?  Up apparently.  It seems like nothing can stop the Penguins from winning.  Even without half of our regular stars, everyone, from the bottom of the food chain, to Sidney Crosby, seems to be rising to the occasion.  THAT’s why i love my Pens.  Not because they won the Stanley Cup (because i loved them before that…), and not because of all the great players they have, but because they play with heart.  It is truly an amazing experience to see them play together.  My hat is off to Disco Dan Bylsma for the incredible job that he did to get us to this point.

May we have many more wonderful years and Stanley Cups together.  GO PENS!  :)
